Chanda’s Tender Loved Care Inc. is committed to uplifting young women and girls ages 12-21 who have been failed by the system and are often underprivileged. We stand beside those who have experienced abandonment, parental loss due to incarceration or death, teen pregnancy, homelessness, and domestic abuse, providing the support, guidance, and resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Approximately 64% of adults report having experienced at least one ACE, with 87% of those who experience one ACE encountering multiple others. These cumulative experiences can lead to lifelong consequences, including higher risks of substance abuse, chronic health problems, and mental illness. (Source: CDC)

Youth Homelessness and Pregnancy

About 1 in 10 youth in the United States experiences homelessness each year, and 40% of homeless youth are also pregnant or parents. This shows a direct link between homelessness and teen pregnancy, with young mothers facing significant barriers to stable housing, healthcare, and education. Parental Incarceration

There are over 2.7 million children in the U.S. with an incarcerated parent, equating to 1 in 28 children. These children face an increased risk of behavioral and emotional challenges, including depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). (Source: National Institute of Justice)

Domestic Abuse

An estimated 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Among youth, 25% of girls aged 14-17 have experienced physical or sexual abuse from a dating partner. The trauma from such abuse can result in long-term psychological and emotional consequences.
